Film description:
Temporary Darkness tells the story of a Cabaret dancer with all the complications this job-title leads to in a judgmental society towards night entertainers. The main characters experience loss and hardship — a poignant story hinting at the social developments in a society that has been in many turmoil throughout the last decades.
Directed by Feras Muhammad, a Syrian film critic and director of several long, short and documentary films. Winner of the Golden Tanit at the Carthage Film Festival in 2022 in the short documentary category, Feras Muhammad is also a lecturer in the Film Directing Department at the Arab International University. He is the founder of the House of Cinema event in Damascus.
