Film by Asma Mhadheb, Filmmaker and cultural activist from Tunisia, based in Hammamet. Born in 2003. Currently studying Law at the Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences of Tunis. She has been active in civil society and cultural spaces from a young age, working in film clubs and youth-led organizations.
She previously held the role of communications responsible at the Bizerte Cinema Association, and is a member of the Tunis Film Club under the Tunisian Federation of Youth Film Clubs. She is a former member of Nafaal Association, JCI Hammamet, and INNO Peace. Her interests lie in cinema, theater, poetry, and she is developing her practice in photography and graphic design.
In 2024, she joined the Feminist School of the Lina Ben Mhenni Association, where she directed her first short documentary — a personal film she wrote, shot, and co-produced with a young team. It tells the story of her grandmother, her relationship with the land, and the theme of reverse migration to the countryside.
She is currently working on expanding her creative work in visual storytelling and documentary cinema.
