HELSINKI — An extraordinary story of survival and courage was presented at the Helsinki Arab Film Festival on Thursday evening with the screening of Hijacked Twice, directed by Mohamed El Mougy, a documentary about Saudi pilot Captain Tarek Mostafa El-Tayeb and his experience of surviving two separate aircraft hijackings.

El-Tayeb attended the screening at Kino Korjaamo and spoke to the audience about his experiences.

Following the film, a special audience discussion with Captain El-Tayeb took place, giving festival-goers the opportunity to hear directly from the pilot and ask questions about the remarkable events depicted in the documentary.

These discussions included asking the Saudi pilot about his own feelings during these extraordinary events, what made him produce a documentary about it.

Capitan El-Tayeb expressed his wish to see his story in an international action film.

The screening was part of the third edition of the Helsinki Arab Film Festival, running from September 9 to 12 in Helsinki.
